Failure Concert Live at Wonder Ballroom | Portland
Failure Vancouver’s event at the Rickshaw Theatre feels like stepping into a true Vancouver gem that’s been quietly shaping the local music scene since it opened its doors. Known for its eclectic lineup that can range from gritty rock bands to indie sensations, the Rickshaw Theatre offers an intimate vibe with a capacity of about 750, making you feel close enough to shout along with your favorite band. It’s got this raw, almost underground feel but with a surprisingly modern edge, especially since they upgraded their sound system in 2014, trust me, you can actually hear the lyrics now without drowning in echo. The bar’s got non-alcoholic options too, which is kinda rare for a venue like this, so no one’s left out. If you’re lucky enough to snag a mezzanine ticket, you’ll get a killer bird’s-eye view that makes you feel like you’re part of the show, not just in the crowd. The space is well designed, with Standing Room Only areas laid out smartly to keep things safe and lively without feeling cramped. Located just north of Hastings Street on East Hastings, it’s super easy to get to, only a quick drive from the Lions Gate Bridge. Honestly, Failure Vancouver at the Rickshaw Theatre isn’t just a concert, it’s an experience that captures the gritty, vibrant spirit of Vancouver’s live music scene.
